Disney is getting closer. A lot closer.

Brightline is revealing the newest draw into Central Florida (literally). Their new Orlando Station has been unveiled with a series of renderings and details of the future station, which is being built at Orlando International Airport’s new 80,000-square-foot Terminal C and connects directly to Parking Deck C.

The new terminal spans three stories with over 37,000 square feet of luxurious and connectivity-based amenities that are designed for an upscale, modern first-class traveler.

Guests enter the station through the airport’s two-story glass atrium, purchasing tickets from one of several self-service kiosks or through a ticket agent in the futuristic terminal. Of course, tickets may also be purchased in advance with your mobile device.

Baggage is checked with touchless turnstiles in the security screening area. Fun fact: Brightline is the only rail line in America that screens all passengers and bags prior to boarding.

“This world-class train station continues our mission of transforming train travel in America,” Patrick Goddard, president at Brightline, said to YIMBY. “We have carefully thought through each detail of this station to ensure that it exceeds the expectations of the modern traveler.”

Once ticketed, checked and registered, guests are greeted with a host of amenities. There is an upscale retail section and the Mary Mary Bar, where mixologists serve hand-crafted libations and snacks. The signature bar offers panoramic views of the train platform and a nostalgic flip-flap message board that rotates train schedules, boarding times, news of the day and other announcements.

Just as in South Florida, the Orlando Brightline terminal has two classes of service. The SMART service lounge includes free high-speed Wifi, charging stations at every seat, 87 big-screen televisions and a children’s play area.

Upgrading to PREMIUM service offers complimentary drinks and snacks in the VIP lounge and in the train itself. Premium travelers also receive a business center in order to work remotely and in a more private setting.

For those who are accessing the Brightline Station from Terminal A or B in the Airport, there is an automated people mover very much like the people mover in Downtown Miami that makes the trip in under 5 minutes.

Once on the platform to board one of the trains, you will find 1,000 feet of waiting area to accommodate a train with 2 engines and 4 cars. We rode the train last year, and found it to be like the Bentley of commuter trains. Quite comfortable. You can read our full review of the experience here.

The trek from the southernmost stop (Miami) to Orlando takes just over 3 hours. This is roughly the same amount of time as driving, however with Brightline, you travel in luxurious comfort with strong wifi and fizzy champagne, rather than speed traps and gas station snacks.

Brightline Orlando Station was designed by Bigtime Design Studios, who is based in Miami and completed the design of the newly opened stations in Boca Raton and Aventura with Borrelli + Partners. Over 100 workers have been employed by this project, which is slated to open later this year.  ALL ABOARD!!
