On Tuesday, September 23, 2014, toll changes will be in full effect for drivers using the Rickenbacker and Venetian Causeways in Miami, according to Miami-Dade County Public Works.
The Rickenbacker and Venetian Causeways are toll roads in Miami that currently accept the C-Pass and/or cash for tolls. However, starting on September 23rd, the C-Pass and cash will no longer be accepted. Drivers utilizing the Rickenbacker and Venetian Causeways must use the electronic prepaid SunPass to pay for the tolls. Accordingly, switching to SunPass is supposed to be more convenient, provide lower toll rates, less traffic congestion and allow no need to stop.

So Miamians, make sure you have a SunPass, and visitors make sure that you rent or purchase a SunPass while driving on the Causeways in Miami.
