The Country’s Most Expensive Home Hits the South Florida Market at $139 Million

The most expensive residential listing in the United States just hit the market at $139 Million, right here in South Florida. The beyond luxurious palace dubbed Le Palais Royal is a 60,500 square foot home situated on 4.4 acres on Millionaires’ Mile in Hillsboro Beach which is north of Miami between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton.  Le Palais Royal will be situated on 465 feet of beachfront land on the Atlantic Ocean and over 492 feet on the Intracoastal Waterway, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Le Palais Royal $2 Million Marble Staircase

Inspired by the Palace of Versailles and other European, royal palaces, Le Palais Royal has been extravagantly designed by Miami-based architect Denio Madera.  The magnificent, South Florida palace boasts 11 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms and is surrounded by a fancy gate decorated with 22-karat gold leaf.  The home features a $2 Million marble staircase, an 18-seat IMAX home theater with a 50-foot-wide screen and a garage that can accommodate up to 30 cars.  The home also features a resort-style, 4,500 square foot, infinity-edge pool with a double-loop waterslide, a Presidential Suite with a plunge pool, jacuzzi and a private terrace and three master suites with private jacuzzis.

The elaborate home was built to be entirely soundproof and was insulated with marble floors imported from South Africa specifically to mute the clacking of high heels, according to the Wall Street Journal.  The home was also built with a highly-sophisticated security system.

Listed at $139 Million, Le Palais Royal has topped the Beverly Hills, California home currently listed at $135 Million, making Le Palais Royal the most expensive mansion in the country.  Le Palais Royal is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
