Brickell City Centre opened its doors to the public on Thursday, November 3 after 4 long years of construction.

The 3-level open-air shopping center with the one-of-a-kind $30 Million Climate Ribbon encompasses 565,000 square feet of retail space anchored by a 107,000-square-foot Saks Fifth Avenue and an ultra-luxe movie theater, Cinemex.

The $1.05 Billion mega-mixed-use project developed by Swire Properties includes a theme of a live, work, play-type urban center, which seems to be a perfect fit for the core of Downtown Miami. Brickell City Centre offers 2 residential condo towers dubbed Reach and Rise, EAST Miami hotel that opened in May of this year, 2 office buildings and of course the premium retail shopping center and restaurants.

Brickell City Centre is truly a much-needed project that is a first for Miami and has been a key factor in the transformation of Downtown Miami. President of Swire Properties, Stephen Owens said that “Brickell City Centre is certainly a first for Miami and will inevitably solidify the city as a true world-class destination.
