Meet Our New Team Members Brandon Chang is the Director of Operations for The Light Group at Douglas Elliman. Brandon is an integral member of the top-producing real estate team as he is responsible for organizing the team’s daily tasks, nurturing client relationships and creating all of the original content for the team’s social media platforms. Brandon has been working in the real estate industry for nearly five years and continues to build knowledge and insight in the business to provide our clients with the best possible service. Brandon is generally the initial contact that you will receive when reaching out to our team so that he can assure that you are assigned to the team member that best suits your needs and best serves the neighborhood that you are looking to purchase or sell in. Before starting with The Light Group at Douglas Elliman, Brandon started his real estate career as an administrative assistant at Fortune International Realty and Douglas Elliman Florida’s Coconut Grove and Coral Gable’s offices. Working as an administrative assistant at two of the country’s top brokerages allowed Brandon to hone his skills in managing salespersons, client satisfaction, time management and contract preparation. Born and raised in Miami in a Cuban family and with an Asian heritage, Brandon has spent most of his life immersed in an array of cultures and languages. Though we had no intention of changing our group’s name, the State of Florida recently passed legislation regarding real estate teams in an effort to help the public understand who/what is a real estate company and who is an agent on a team, within a company. See, there have been many agents running teams with fancy names and titles that have misled the public into thinking the team is the overall brokerage company they worked for…in Florida, this is and always has been illegal. This change will help bring further transparency to our industry.
