Finally, the land around the Downtown Miami condo towers Wind, Mint and Ivy will be developed. Although this land was supposed to be developed many years ago into a small little community with shops, restaurants, additional condo units, etc., it has been postponed until now. Plans were recently released by KAR Properties to develop a village dubbed the “Miami River Village” and will include a 3-tower project situated on a 5-acre property next to Wind, Mint and Ivy, with retail space and restaurants.
The Miami River Village will be built in 3 separate phases. Phase 1 will include a 60-story, ultra-luxury condo tower designed by internationally-renowned architect, Rafael Viñoly, consisting of chic, sophisticated luxury condo residences. Phase 1 will also include first-class shopping and a variety of restaurants. Phase 2 will include a 50-story luxury tower consisting of 300 luxury condo units and 150 luxury hotel rooms. Phase 3 is still in the planning stages and details will be released at a later date.
