The $430 Million privately funded SkyRise Miami project was approved at the polls on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, according to USA Today. Prior to the approval at the polls, the plan was unanimously approved by the city commission in June 2014.
Soon to be situated at the end of Bayside Marketplace on city-owned land leased by Bayside, SkyRise Miami will “firmly cement Miami on the global stage,” said Berkowitz. “It’s going to be Miami’s Eiffel Tower.”
