Bayshore Club Brings Sophisticated Waterfront Dining To Former Scotty’s Landing Spot

 
Just three short years since shock and horror radiated through the social circles of original Groveites, a renaissance is upon us.

Back in 2019, the beloved waterfront institution known as Scotty’s Landing was shuttered and a news release announced that it would be torn down to make way for a new destination. The 7-acre Regatta Harbour in Coconut Grove will feature 2 upscale restaurants, 1 casual eatery, a 400-boat slip marina, a public baywalk, event space and two Pan-Am hangars that will be converted into retail. The Bayshore Club is one of these restaurants, and is slated to open next Monday, July 25.

Designed by Celano Design Studio, the new and improved restaurant and lounge will feature a 360-degree bar that pays homage to the site’s history as Pan Am’s first seaplane terminal and hangar. The decor has a retro vibe and vintage decor that is reminiscent of the days when flying was glamorous.

The restaurant also boasts 300 seats as well as a lawn with cabanas, loungers, games and fire pits. Boaters can dock at the restaurant and are welcomed with a “Greetings from Miami” postcard mural.

The menu is heavily populated with seafood options with a Latin flare. Some of the crowd favorites are expected to be whole fried snapper, crab causa, grilled fish tacos, low country shrimp n grits and of course the raw bar favorites (crab claws, oysters, clams and the such). Stiltsville’s Jeff McInnis also put together a list of pub favorites and cocktails such as the Marina Mule and the Pan American.

Starting Monday, July 25, the restaurant and event space will be open for lunch and dinner daily, adding brunch on the weekends. This new addition is bound to be a success, as there are surprisingly few waterfront restaurants in Miami that offer brunch.
