*UPDATE* 6:18PM – I was contacted by the PR firm for Brickell City Centre who wanted to provide me with a clarification:
“Hi Michael,
Hope all is well. Sending along a correction on your recent Brickell City Centre article. BCC is still an active construction site, the project is not complete. That being said the building does not have a misspelling, rather is waiting for the final panel of the “L” to be installed. I can totally understand how it could be perceived that way, however the misspelling is not the case. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.”
In the last 4 hours since publishing this article, it has been shared over 2,900 times on Facebook. In all of the comments I have received about it, this picture was included in one of them:

Brickell City Centre, the brand-new $1.05 Billion mega, mixed-use urban development in the epicenter of Brickell, is almost complete and has a glaring misspelling on the side of the building.
The photograph above, which was taken yesterday from a condo at Mint, clearly shows that someone forgot the second “L” at the end of Brickell.

After spending over a billion dollars, you would think that Swire Properties (the developer) would have paid someone to spell-check the almost finished product. Let’s see how long it takes them to fix it.
