Whole Foods Market at Met 3, located at the intersection of SE 2nd Street and SE 3rd Avenue in the heart of Downtown Miami, is rapidly progressing. The nearly 40,000 square foot supermarket, according to The Next Miami, is in its final stages of construction and has already installed shelving, freezers and checkout lanes. Although an exact date has not been announced, we were just told that Whole Foods will open up sometime in January 2015, right after the busy holiday season.
Whole Foods Market at Met 3 will be the first Whole Foods Market in the Downtown Miami and Brickell area, with the closest other Whole Foods located in South Beach and far south in South Miami. So you can imagine that everyone living and working in Downtown Miami and Brickell are anxiously awaiting its opening!
Met 3 is the building that will house the famed supermarket, but atop the Whole Foods will be a luxury rental apartment tower, dubbed Monarc at Met 3, that will consist of 462 residential units. The Monarc at Met 3 apartments will feature exceptional amenities including a yoga garden, fitness gym, spa with treatment rooms, an outdoor kitchen with grills and barbecue area and a recreational lounge. The Monarc at Met 3 residents and the Whole Foods customers will share a parking garage consisting of 1,950 parking spaces.
The Monarc at Met 3 is being developed by ZOM while Whole Foods is being developed by the MDM Group.
