$1.05 Billion Brickell City Centre Misspells Brickell on Actual Building

*UPDATE* 6:18PM – I was contacted by the PR firm for Brickell City Centre who wanted to provide me with a clarification:

“Hi Michael,

Hope all is well. Sending along a correction on your recent Brickell City Centre article. BCC is still an active construction site, the project is not complete. That being said the building does not have a misspelling, rather is waiting for the final panel of the “L” to be installed. I can totally understand how it could be perceived that way, however the misspelling is not the case. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.”

In the last 4 hours since publishing this article, it has been shared over 2,900 times on Facebook. In all of the comments I have received about it, this picture was included in one of them:

Brickell City Centre’s Missing “L” Clarification

Brickell City Centre, the brand-new $1.05 Billion mega, mixed-use urban development in the epicenter of Brickell, is almost complete and has a glaring misspelling on the side of the building.

The photograph above, which was taken yesterday from a condo at Mint, clearly shows that someone forgot the second “L” at the end of Brickell.

After spending over a billion dollars, you would think that Swire Properties (the developer) would have paid someone to spell-check the almost finished product. Let’s see how long it takes them to fix it.

The Historic Transformation of Downtown Miami

Downtown Miami is experiencing historic changes before our very eyes, so I felt it necessary to post a picture of the Downtown Miami skyline as my Foto Friday picture.  Starting a few years ago, Downtown Miami started rapidly transforming from a busy-by-day and deserted-at-night area into a chic, cosmopolitan metropolis.  With the new art museums to the eclectic variety of restaurants to the highly-anticipated Miami Worldcenter, which is the second largest urban development in the country, Downtown Miami is history in the making!

If you are looking for a savvy investment, buy, buy, buy in the Downtown Miami condo market.  The values of condos in Downtown Miami are sure to rise once Miami Worldcenter is finished along with all of the other amazing mega-projects on the horizon.  And, don’t forget, Miami Worldcenter will also include a signature residential condo tower, Paramount Miami Worldcenter that will sit atop the Mall at Miami Worldcenter and will consist of 470 luxury condos and unprecedented amenities.

If you are interested in investing in the Downtown Miami condo market, please contact your Miami condo specialist, Michael Light.  You may reach me on my cell at (786) 566-1700, at my office at (305) 350-9842 or via email at michael@miamiluxuryhomes.com.

Kennedy Park in Coconut Grove

Kennedy Park offers outdoor fitness areas with specialty equipment, a jogging path with the most comfortable surface I have ever ran on, dog park, sand volleyball, children’s playground and plenty of space to setup a kid’s soccer game or have a picnic.  I visit Kennedy Park quite frequently to go for a walk/jog and to take my dog to the dog park.  As everywhere else in Coconut Grove, the people are friendly and you have such gorgeous scenery throughout the park including the serene bay.

A few months ago, I shot a video of Kennedy Park, so if you are interested in viewing the video, please click here.

Dinner Key Marina in Coconut Grove

Initially used as the home of operations for Pan American Airway’s famous flying boats, the Clippers, Dinner Key Marina is now an historic landmark in Coconut Grove.  Whether you are docking your boat to break for lunch or dinner at Monty’s Raw Bar or Scotty’s Landing, walking the bayfront walkway paths or enjoying a good book in the peaceful setting, Dinner Key Marina is a great place to visit in the Grove.  Not to mention, it is just steps from Kennedy Park and the famed Cocowalk restaurants and shops.
